2005. In my opinion, this was the best year for indie music in the 2000s. We heard the magnum opus releases from Sigur Ros, Gorillaz, Spoon, and LCD Soundsystem. We also heard the remarkable second release from Kanye West. Finally, we got to rediscover the hidden talent of Vashti Bunyan, 30 years after her debut.
